Crimin4l Numb3rs: Master List

Series: Crimin4l Numb3rs

Author: Valerie Vancollie (valeriev84 [at] hotmail.com)

Summary: A new criminal element has arrived in LA; namely the brothers Eppes.

Description: The idea for this series was given to me by [info]fanfictionrules who got it from [info]alleskleber. Once I had the idea, I decided to write it to the word prompts from [info]numb3rs100, going back and starting with their very first one and taking each prompt in turn from there. Each fic in this series will therefore be a drabble of 100, 200 or 300 words.
The series does not flow chronologically, each drabble can instead be from any point in time, slowly weaving together the overall story. Below you will find both a listing of the order the drabbles were published in as well as a listing of the chronological order of the drabbles. Just remember, they were meant to be read in the order they were published in.

Future drabbles that have already been written: #22 Dimensions, #24 Division, #27 Room Key, #28 Chemistry, #29 Encounter, #31 Mix-Up, #42 Words, #43 Manipulation, #46 Fold, #48 Pill, #51 Shift, #52 Own, #65 Burn, #75 Daughter & #88 Toast. Numbers 28, 29, 43, 52 & 65 are part of the same story thread and take place over the course of 24 hours.

Notes: Although the series as a whole is one big story, there will be various subsets of drabbles that will cluster around a certain point in time and go together. These drabbles will not necessarily be posted together as I instead dripple out parcels of info. The Chicago/Illinois references about the cop killing is one such thread.
I have attempted to figure out how far I shall go into the [info]numb3rs100 prompts but at this point I really don't know. On some level I want to go for the first 100 as it would be poetic, but I'm not sure if that will work. Ultimately it will probably come down to how long it takes me to write the story I have in mind and how many new scenes pop up as I go along. Besides, the first five word prompt after #100 would really go with the series (ie: interrogation, confession, arrest, handcuffs & prison!).
So, we'll see...

Posting Schedule: I do not have a set schedule. I write whenever I have both the time and the inspiration to do so. Luckily each fic in this series is short so they tend to be quick to write, but I still need both time and inspiration to do so. As soon as I'm happy with a drabble, I send it out to my lovely betas and then post it as soon as I've gotten it back and gone over their comments.

Author's Comments
I was planning on posting a list with the chronological order of the drabbles when I was done with the series, but it was pointed out to me by various people that it was really needed now :)

Sorry I didn't do it sooner. I hadn't realized just how difficult using LJ made it to find all the parts of the series. I'm still pretty new to LJ and often forget how different it came be to having a regular website to post my fics. Please don't hesitate to point out features and weaknesses of LJ!

Finally, I snuck in a few little hints of what is the come, I hope you enjoy them and the list overall.

Author's Comments Continued
As I mentioned earlier (in one of the drabble comment sections), a potential ending for the series came to me a while back and I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not. Since then I have been wrestling with it and I have finally decided that it is very fitting on a lot of levels even if it is quite different from anything I originally imaged this series as being.

Why mention this now?

Well, because the drabble I just posted, Moderation, is very much in line with that ending. It fits the theme (not that there weren't already, inadvertent, signs of it in the previous drabbles) and was written intentionally with the ending in mind.

I only hope people will like it as I expect a mixed bag of reactions when we finally get there (I aim to go for 100 drabbles!)

Thanks! I can't take credit for the idea, though, simply the actualization of it. The idea was conveyed to me from [info]alleskleber via [info]fanfictionrules.
